Timber Frame Wall Types

In England & Wales, the maximum U-value for external walls in new homes is 0.18 W/m²K. This value has been updated in recent regulations to reflect stricter energy efficiency standards.

We can supply various wall options to achieve the wall U-Value specified for your project. Please advise us of your specified U-Value so we can ensure the correct solution is selected when quoting.

All solutions shown below are for a brick facade, please note that if there is a lightweight cladding system (as the external facade) then the 9mm OSB3 sheathing board to the outside of the panel will have to be replaced with a suitable A1/A2 rated board and the U-Value shown below will reduce. We will be able to discuss all solutions with you.
